I visited a Tokyo JHS recently to do a masks workshop with a small bunch of students who had elected to not go on a trip to Canada.

A portrait of me by a 6-year old art student of mine. He is very talented! It was a 10 minute (give or take) drawing at the end of the class with to eraser allowed (just do it!)…

Summer Art Workshop: One week with 5-6 year old Japanese children in Tokyo, on the theme of water.
Photomontage in sketchbook, by Hiroki (4 years old)
I held a series of workshops for kids exploring basic principles of animation (here in Tokyo). This student is demonstrating the thaumatrope he made, in which he combines a photo of himself with sunglasses, hat and some bling. Fun project!
